Born in Miami FL, Maxwell Britton studied at New World School of the Arts and earned a BFA from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan.
His artwork has been exhibited in shows across the United States, including Detroit, Los Angeles, New York and Miami.
Reviews of his work have been published in The Detroit News, Detroit Monthly Magazine, Ann Arbor News, Spirit Magazine and the Detroit Metro Times. Most recently he was featured on HBO’s television series Six Feet Under web site.
In 2003, he began to rent his original art to major motion picture studios such as Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Touchstone, NBC, ABC and HBO. His work continues to be viewed by millions internationally.
In June 2005, Maxwell was shown in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Art rental & sales gallery group show. In December 2005, Maxwell was a part of Art Basel Miami Beach at The Yard @CasaLin and Gallery Laure De Mazieres. Maxwell is currently exhibiting "Desert Paths" at the Ellen Charapko Gallery in Wilton Manors, Florida. He also has an upcoming collaboration show with Michael Loveland at the Fredric Snitzner Gallery in the Wynwood District of Miami May 13th.
